Blood pressure: It is the force of your blood pushing against the walls of the arteries.

         Hypertension: It is the pressure of the blood on the arteries which is higher.
-In simple language, high blood pressure means your heart is pushing harder to get blood around your body.
 
-As a result, the arteries bulk up further restricting blood flow and worsening the problems.
 
Higher blood pressure means the pressure more than 140/90 mmHg in the sphygmomanometer(shown in the above image). hypertension is also called a silent killer.

 

Causes of high blood pressure:

  1. High intake of salt.
  2. Excessive drinking of alcohol.
  3. Obesity
  4. Lack of exercise.
  5. Cigarette smoking...
  6. Stress.
  7. Improper sleep.

Symptoms of high blood pressure:

  1. Headache.
  2. Chest pain.
  3. Dizziness.
  4. Insomnia.
  5. Nosebleed.
  6. Breathlessness.
  7. Tinnitus.
  8. Vision problems.
  9. Blood in the urine.
  10. Mainly high blood pressure has no symptoms but it can cause serious problems such as kidney failure, stroke, heart attack, heart failure, and many more.

How to lower blood pressure?

Home remedy

  1. 1 teaspoon onion juice + 1 teaspoon honey have it with water twice a day(helps in preventing constriction of blood vessels).
  2. Add 30ml of apple cider vinegar to 1 glass of warm water.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of watermelon seeds powder in warm water and have it daily(wildness blood capillaries).
  4. Add warm water with lemon juice + Honey + cinnamon powder.
  5. Eat leaves of curry and coriander daily.

Diet for lowering blood pressure

  1. FRUITS:   Apples, Bananas,   Mangoes, Oranges, pineapples, strawberry, pomegranate, avocados, watermelon, berries, grapes, raisins.
  2. VEGETABLE:  Carrots, sweet potato, kale, green beans, garlic, lemon, onion, beet, collards, Lima beans, spinach.
  3. NUTS, SEEDS, and LEGUMES. (almonds, mixed nuts, sunflower seeds, walnuts, peanut, kidney beans, lentils, split beans.
  4. LEAN MEATS, POULTRY, and FISHES.
  5. LOW-FAT DAIRY PRODUCTS.
